A Health Information Management professional with 10 years’ experience in the fields of Public Health, Health Informatics and Project Management using agile Project Management Models such as Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC). An expert in Health Informatics, Capacity Building of Users, conducting Training of Trainers (ToT), Designing Health Informatics tools, end user support as well as data management. 

Chimwemwe is a highly motivated, results-oriented individual with excellent problem solving and team skills. She has a hands-on approach to using informatics to solve problems facing the health care system in poor-resource settings to harness the benefits that informatics bring in delivery of quality care to patients as well as improving outcomes.   Rising  through the ranks from a  Software  Deployment and Support Officer to  a Software Deployment and Support Manager in her previous job granted  her an opportunity to demonstrate her  technical and managerial  skills and competencies, successfully,  in coordinating  the management  and  maintenance of various electronic systems  deployed across the country for different programs such as HIV/AIDS, Communicable diseases Maternal Health, Civil registration and Vital Statistics,  and Tuberculosis.

Chimwemwe is a holder of   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from University of Sunderland and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health from College of Medicine.  She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Public Health specialising in Medical Informatics with Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES), formerly, the College of Medicine.
